I've doing it for over 10 years and sanding the disc was never necessary. Just make sure you've really cleaned them (I recommend a good high performance degreaser or disc brake cleaner) and you should be good to go. What usually causes the squeaky noises are the contamination in the pads, which the procedure shown here should take care of. Some people put the discs on fire (literally), but that was also never necessary for me.

So satisfying. I had to add an engine to my bicycle because it idenifies as a motorcycle. Which is funny. But, anyway. Its great because I had to beef up the rear tire. I say tire because I couldn't reinforce the entire wheel. Except, for the addition of a 118 tooth sprocket. It has rubber strips that work as dampeners to keep the engine from destroying the spokes. And 12 M24 1 inch bolts with 10 mm nuts on em. I got me some Tannis tire armor after I went through 2 tires and about 6 innertubes in a month. Then added a used inner tube under the armor that was split in half. Over the inner tube. Long story long. To me anyway this, is bairly considered a mess. Take it from someone who used the motorized bicycle for 3 years after wrecking my car. And enjoyed riding my bike so much didn't bother me while my car as undrivable. Oh and don't get me going on some really big tire messes in the automotive industry. Boy I have seen some doozies. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Bed your brakes properly from the get go, and a little bit of brake/caliper grease on the outside of the pads. Done.
